She looked absolutely stunning, just completely gorgeous.
Her dress was brilliant, I love entire design, but the lace sleeves just make it that much prettier!

The entire ceremony was lovely, they look like such a wonderful couple.

Fluffy, 9 May 1999 - 28 April 2011

Over the past few weeks Fluffy's health had been declining, and yesterday it became clear to us he was not going to improve or recover from what had been ailing him, leaving us with no choice other than to peacefully end his suffering. Even though we all know that it was for the best, it is still a terribly sad thing to have to do.

He was an exceptional little guy, well behaved, goofy, and quick as ever.

I love you and miss you dearly, Fluffy. We all do.

WHERE IS SPRING?

I'm really starting to wonder where the nice weather has gotten to, it's still barely double digit temperatures here!

I'm getting so impatient for sunny and warm weather so I can start wearing my spring clothes! I suppose all we can do is wait, unless someone out there has a weather machine, haha.



I've also changed my background image, thought it was time for something a little different. I'm going to make more layout changes, but I haven't decided what exactly I'm going to do yet!

I thought I'd put together a short list of a few songs I've had on repeat for the past little while. I've been listening to more than just these four songs, of course, but these are some of my favourites lately!

Streets of Heaven by Sam Roberts



Sam Roberts is one of my favourite artists ever, ever ever ever. I'm so looking forward to his new album coming out next month, and this is easily one of my favourite songs of 2011.

Buddy Holly by Weezer



I've loved this song for ages and was just reminded of it when I turned my radio on this morning and it was just nearly over. Naturally I went straight to YouTube and proceeded to listen to it over and over. It's a insanely fun song, enough said.

Get Outta My Way by Kylie Minogue



I've just downloaded Kylie's latest album, Aphrodite, and it is completely brilliant. This song is one of my favourite so far, it's another majorly fun song!

Cosmic Love by Florence and the Machine



First off, Florence's entire album, Lungs, is stunning. Absolutely stunning. I saw an ad for the new movie, Water For Elephants, a week or so ago, and heard this song playing in the background of it. I was immediately reminded of what a beautiful song it is and have been listening to it everyday lately.

I DON'T CARE 'BOUT THAT

I know it's well douchey to make .gifs of yourself but I was bored last night after the hockey game (!!!) and wanted to make one since I hadn't in a while.

I turned my radio on this morning and caught the end of Weezer's song Buddy Holly. I forgot how much I love that song, been listening to it on repeat for the last 20 minutes, haha.

Also, I'm considering changing my fringe a bit and wearing it how I have it in the .gif, any thoughts?

DON'T FORGET WHO YOU ARE

This is what I wore last Friday.

The leopard print sweater is from Sirens. And yes, I'm aware you can basically see my pink bra through it. Was not intentional, gah.

The skirt is one from a thrift shop which I hemmed up shorter than it originally was. I love the shade of blue it is. It'd be Tory-tastic, unfortunately, (or fortunately) I'm not a Tory, so yeah, anyways.

The heels are a pair I bought at Winners in 2008, and the tights are fishnets from Costa Blanca, and they have a huge run in the back, haha.

There's been a lot going on in the past few days, and I will fill you all in soon.

CHERRY CHERRY

I bought this dress off Ebay a few weeks ago. It was originally very long, as you can see from the first photo, but with a bit of help from mum I managed to shorten it into a nice spring dress! Completely love how it turned out!

It almost touched the floor at the original length.

And after a little work and patience, it looks like this!



The corset-style back, partially covered by my hair, which was briefly the bane of my existence whilst I was trying to hem it properly!



And, yes, I'm fully aware this one isn't in good focus, but I like it anyhow.



And finally, don't mind all my junk on the floor, I've been tearing apart my closet trying to get it tidied up!



I'm getting well excited for the nice weather so I can start wearing my spring and summer clothes properly. Enough of these rainy, 10 degrees celsius days!!

SPRING IN THE COUNTRYSIDE

I went round a couple of days ago with my camera and took a few photos. I actually really like the way some of these turned out, perhaps I haven't lost my touch? Haha, if I ever had one, that is!



There's an uncountable number of signs just like these everywhere right now. I like how someone's placed a massive Liberal one in between two little Tory and NDP ones, ha.

And the horse in question, or should I say, miniature horse, hehe.










Two Christmases ago, someone decorated this little tree next to our community post box, and no one's ever bothered to un-decorate it. It works well enough that by the time all the leaves have fallen off that it's nearly Christmas time again, anyways, haha.





I'm not sure of the name of these little flowers, but I think they're really lovely.





And making up a bit for the lack of new posts lately, I have some new things to share that I will be posting about soon!

PAPER DOLLS

I will always love red lipstick. It's simple and classic, but the right shade of red can add so much to an overall look. Will always love it.

I hadn't done a photoshoot for ages aside from my outfit photos so I decided I do a sort of simplistic one this afternoon. I took these this afternoon and I'm posting them the same day, that's like a first, isn't it? Considering I always seem to take photos and then not end up posting them for days, haha.

Sometimes I look at photos of myself and think "God, I'm odd looking.". This is one of those times, haha.

COSMIC LOVE

I was browsing through a bunch of editorials on Fashion Gone Rogue and found these photos which I absolutely had to share! I just love the styling, and the setting!

Valerie is gorgeous, and I love the beautiful garments, the solarium-like setting, and of the course the adorable little kitten in the first photo, hehe. x

TAPESTRY HEELS

I bought these heels back at the end of December at a Boxing Day sale from Aldo. I completely, genuinely love them! When I saw them on sale, I knew they were what I was going buy for my Boxing Day purchase, haha. They're cute and quirky, and I don't mean quirky in a "Look at my shoes, I'm so different and such a special snowflake!" sort of way. I mean it in a more "I'd never seen heels covered with tapestry fabric before" sort of way.

I just adore the print, it reminds me of these Office heels, which are equally adorable. I haven't had a proper chance to wear them, but now that it's getting nicer out and spring is here I'll have more chances to pair them with some of my spring outfits!

I've not been posting lately due to some busy-ness with school, and plain old laziness. But I will try and post more often soon! I've just enroled in an online digital photography class, it's a touch late in the semester, yes, but I need the extra credits. I've finished all my other school courses aside from English and Maths, which is incredibly relieving, really. Now I'm just working on those three courses and waiting impatiently for some nice spring weather! x

PERFECT STRANGER

Here's what I wore last Thursday. The mum jeans strike again! Haha.



I bought the shirt from a cheap mall shop last summer, the jean are from the thrift shop, and the heels are from Sirens (another cheap mall shop, haha).



My dresser is never not a mess, as you can probably tell by now!

WELCOME SPRING

I decided I'm going to try and take more photos of things aside from myself as I used to. I took these last week, and as you can see, the spring flowers are just starting to bloom and look nice. If it would jut get a little warmer out we'd be set!

This is sort of what our property generally looks like, quite wild, but not too overgrown. If that makes any sense.



I think I've introduced you all to Annie before, I have, haven't I?



Found this little creepy guy out in the old vegetable garden, he disappeared right after I took this, hence it being a touch blurry, haha.



Our rosemary bush is starting to bloom for the spring, it's so pretty when it's in full bloom!



These little pink flowers have just come out, too. They're just outside my bedroom window, I love them because they're so tiny and delicate!



Took a photo of my reflection in my bedroom window just 'cos.



Some too-heavy-daffodils that have fallen over in the front garden, haha.



Finally, one shot of the path along the end of the house and the rosemary bush.



There's plenty of daffodils, but there are no tulips out yet. I love tulips, so I'll be taking some photos of them (and the other flowers, of course!) when they finally bloom.
